Halle – There was a serious accident on the A14 near Halle on Thursday evening.
Three people are said to have died.
According to police reports, 18 other people were injured.
According to initial findings, a rear-end collision between the Throtha and Tornau junctions is to blame for the accident.

Two cars and two pickup trucks are said to have been involved in the accident.
The three fatally injured all came from the same car, as a police spokeswoman informed.
In one of the vans was a youth football team from SV Fortuna Magdeburg, which was on its way to a game in Merseburg at the time of the accident.
As the sports club announced on social media, all players and coaches are said to have survived, but are said to have been taken to the hospital.
"We express our deepest sympathy to the relatives," reads a message from the association on the Instagram image platform.

The identities of the deceased and injured, who are said to have already been taken to nearby hospitals, should not yet be made public.
Several people were reportedly trapped in their vehicles during the crash.
Several vehicles are said to have been badly damaged and debris lying on the road.
The fire brigade, other rescue workers and rescue helicopters are currently said to be in action.
Since 5:00 p.m., the Autobahn towards Dresden is said to have been completely closed.
As the police informed, another accident occurred when approaching the scene of the accident at Riebeckplatz in Halle when a fire engine and a car collided.
Three people are said to have been slightly injured.

Friends are also mourning the loss of 16-year-old Sabrina, who died in a motor scooter accident last week.
