Coalition source: "Government stability stands on Nir Orbach's mortgage" Israel today

2022-06-11T18:44:00.527Z

In a conversation with Israel Today, a government source claims that the reason for the Knesset member's deliberation on the right is his salary in the face of the high mortgage on his villa in Petah Tikva. ?

Has the reason for MK Nir Orbach's deliberations been revealed?

While the Knesset member continues to hold the government in uncertainty, coalition officials reveal the reason for Auerbach's deliberations: the mortgage of his house and the salary of a Knesset member.

A coalition source told Israel Today that "the stability of the government stands on Nir Orbach's mortgage. The

man built a villa in Petah Tikva and took out a high mortgage, and we have to pay the price. He does not resign because he needs a high salary to finance it. It is absurd. This scandal "It should stop. The man owns an entire country because of opportunistic considerations of his chair and salary. He knows full well that elections are a bad thing for a country in this situation. He will take responsibility and resign if it does not suit him."

Coalition assessment: Orbach will retire this week

After the meetings with the prime minister last week and the continuation of the meetings tomorrow (Sunday), the coalition estimates that Orbach will announce his retirement this week but will wait about two to three weeks to allow attempts to form an alternative government in the current Knesset or other coalition moves.

Bennett's entourage has various assessments, where it is said that the meetings with Auerbach on Thursday ended in a positive atmosphere.

Orbach's party members who are asking him to wait claim that there is no hurry and that the processes should be exhausted in front of the two rebellious MKs Mazen Ghanaim and Jida Rinawi-Zoabi.

Another consideration that accompanies Auerbach is the fact that according to the coalition agreements, if Auerbach, from Bennett's bloc, dissolves the government, Yair Lapid will be the prime minister of the transition, while if Zoabi does so, Naftali Bennett will continue to serve as prime minister in the transitional government.

But if Zoabi dismantles the government, Orbach will lose the promise he has from the Likud to armor the list and a position on behalf of the party.

Meanwhile, in the Knesset there is an atmosphere of end and preparations for "clearing the table".
