The president of Christian Jacob's party said it this week, surrounded by several party figures, after a last strategic council focused on this essential stage of the first round.
The estimate that circulates behind the scenes and on which several elected officials base their hope of a rebound is as follows: a qualification for 150 duels in the second round and 50% of victories at the key, or about 70 seats.
This unofficial objective is below the most optimistic militant calculations but above the various projections put forward by the polls which do not estimate the new LR group beyond 60 deputies.
