The complaints from Kyiv are getting louder and louder.

In fact, however, Germany has already supplied Ukraine with arms worth hundreds of millions of euros.

Berlin – Again the Ukrainian ambassador Andriy Melnyk complains that it is disappointing how slowly Germany is delivering arms to Ukraine.

None have arrived since May 3, only ammunition.

But which weapons has Germany delivered to date?

Der

Spiegel

has published a detailed list, citing Ukrainian circles.

An overview.

Ukraine War: All previous German arms deliveries

  • Panzerfaust 3:

900 handguns are said to have already arrived in the Ukraine.

A single soldier can use it to destroy main battle tanks up to 400 meters away.

The Panzerfaust can penetrate modern armor.

If you load the gun with a different ammunition, it becomes what is known as Bunkerfast: The gun then penetrates up to 24 centimeters of reinforced concrete and also hits targets behind it.

Soldiers use the weapon, which weighs around 13 kilograms, on their right shoulder.

  • Stinger:

Just days after the start of the war, Germany sent 500 American Stinger surface-to-air missiles to Ukraine.

This weapon is also operated on the right shoulder.

The weapon, which weighs almost 16 kilograms, automatically steers towards approaching targets and shoots up to six kilometers away.

Airplanes and helicopters less than three kilometers above the ground have an 80 percent chance of being hit.

  • Strela-2:

The Strela (Russian: Arrow) is the Soviet equivalent of the Stinger.

Germany sent more than 2,000 short-range surface-to-air missiles from East Germany to Ukraine.

This rocket is also supposed to automatically lead to the target via an infrared seeker – depending on the version, it shoots three to four kilometers away.

  • Matador:

The Ukraine is said to have ordered 5,100 modern RGW-90 anti-tank handguns directly from the German armaments company Dynamit Nobel Defense.

They do not track their target automatically, so soldiers must aim accurately to hit objects 20 to 1,200 meters away.

The weapon, which weighs around ten kilograms, can be programmed so that the cartridge explodes either immediately or only after a delay.

  • Miscellaneous:

Germany also sent Ukraine 100 MG3 machine guns, 18 remote detonators, 100,000 fragmentation grenades, 100,000 detonating cord kits, more than 6,000 anti-tank mines of various types and more than 5,000 explosive charges.

In addition to weapons, Ukraine received 50 armored medical vehicles, 80 armored SUVs, medical supplies and more than 16 million pieces of ammunition of various calibers.

Weapons deliveries from Germany: Further support planned for Ukraine in the war against Russia

What is still outstanding:

the federal government has promised Kiev heavy weapons as support in the Ukraine war, but has not yet delivered them.

This includes 50 anti-aircraft tanks of the Gepard type.

The first 15 units should be delivered by mid-July.

They are supposed to fight helicopter gunships, missiles and drones.

Germany also wants to send seven Panzerhaubitze 2000 artillery pieces to Ukraine – Ukrainian soldiers are currently being trained in Germany to operate them.

The crash course should be completed in June.

Chancellor Olaf Scholz has also promised four Mars II multiple rocket launchers, an Iris-T anti-aircraft system and a Cobra radar.

In addition, according to the armaments group Rheinmetall, the first six Marder tanks are ready for use - but it is not yet known whether they will be delivered to the Ukraine.
