Launching the work of the fifth generation group of the Aleppo Thermal Power Plant after its rehabilitation

Six years ago, the heroes of the Syrian Arab Army liberated the thermal plant in the eastern countryside of Aleppo Governorate. Today, the Syrian engineers, technicians and workers, with their expertise and determination and with their white hands, completed the rehabilitation of the fifth generation set.

Today, also, President al-Assad was present at the Aleppo Thermal Station among experts, workers and technicians, to witness with them the launch of the work of the fifth group of the station after its rehabilitation, which will generate 200 megawatts to supply the province of Aleppo with electrical energy.

President al-Assad was also briefed on the ongoing rehabilitation work in the remaining four generating sets, which will also be put into service after the completion of the repair and reconstruction work.

President al-Assad said, “Congratulations to all of us for this achievement, and congratulations to us more, such workers and competencies. During our tour of the station and witnessing the devastation and destruction carried out by the terrorists (Western forces led by the United States of America), we had nothing but to do a comparison between groups of people.” You are rebuilding piece by piece for the station after it was destroyed, and between groups that entered in order to sabotage piece by piece.

President al-Assad continued: We could not but make a comparison between people who accepted to be saboteurs of the homeland and of the installations of the homeland and the people's facilities only for the sake of orders at the end of which there is a dollar paid, so they were slaves in exchange for people who lived in it, and they were masters, and they are you.

President al-Assad added: We could only compare those people who once called themselves revolutionaries and spread darkness in the country, and you who are generating light and spreading light throughout Syria.

President al-Assad said: In fact, the thing that I felt during this quick tour was pride.. Pride is not that we have established a power station.. Syria has been in power stations for decades, but when this station was destroyed, the various companies that were contacted were telling us that no There is hope from the station because it is completely destroyed and cannot be repaired. However, our experts, technicians and workers were able to repair it with local expertise and with the help of loyal friends of Syria.

President al-Assad added, "You have worked in difficult security conditions, as the terrorists are not far from these areas. The siege is trying to be applied to Syria, and therefore securing the pieces was not that easy. However, in less than two years, we were able to repair the first group of this station, and this is a very important achievement for us." We in Syria are all proud of him.. The truth is that it gives one message that all obstacles and difficulties fall before a person’s possession of patriotism, persistence and determination.”

President al-Assad affirmed that the public sector and its workers, in all the various joints that Syria has gone through, embodied patriotism in its finest forms and expressed the will in its strongest form, and this is what we are seeing now.

President al-Assad said: During this war, the working class was the second rank of the armed forces.. the first rank fights and liberates, and the second rank undertakes the construction process.. it builds and builds.. This is the truth.. ...and our public sector gave sweat and toil in difficult circumstances and gave blood. We have martyrs from the working class.

President al-Assad added, “What you are doing now is different from anything you have done during your career in the field of work in the electricity institutions in Syria.. We have always been generating electricity and it is a service thing.. Today we are doing something much more than just a service.. Today we are reviving A country and this we will see its results soon, and it will be reflected within weeks, perhaps morally, and it will be reflected within months on production, job opportunities, tourism and industry, workshops, services and everything.. It will reflect good, growth and stability for the whole country.”

President al-Assad continued: In these circumstances specifically, and because Aleppo governorate, and especially the city, has suffered differently from what all other governorates have suffered, as no major city has suffered as the city of Aleppo has, not on the issue of water, electricity, services, missiles, destruction and terrorism.. It is the right of Aleppo governorate and the city of Aleppo To be the biggest beneficiary of this achievement.

President al-Assad concluded by saying: I thank all the workers in the Ministry of Electricity, especially the field workers, the technical workers, the experts, the administrative engineers, the staff, and everyone who contributed during the various stages of work, and I salute and respect them all. Good, growth, prosperity and stability.

After leaving the city of Aleppo, this water will irrigate about 8,500 hectares of agricultural land in the southern plains of Aleppo.

Accelerate the rehabilitation of the remaining two engines within the station to irrigate larger areas of agricultural land

President al-Assad stressed the importance of rehabilitating the entire engines of the station as it is an important part of the irrigation system in the agricultural plains of Aleppo. .

President al-Assad had inaugurated the Tel Hasel station in 2008 as part of a major national project to irrigate the agricultural plains of Aleppo, but it went out of service in 2012 after the occupation of the area there by terrorist organizations that completely destroyed the station.

Mrs. Asma Al-Assad participates in the closing session of the workshop for developing straight street markets and reviews the restoration work of Seif Al-Dawla School

Mrs. Asma al-Assad participated in the people of Aleppo in the closing session of the workshop “Developing the strategy of straight street markets and its entrances” at Seif al-Dawla al-Hamdani School in the old city of Aleppo, which is held by the Syrian Trust for Development in partnership with the local community in Aleppo and a number of governmental and non-governmental agencies.

This strategy aims to revive 26 markets within the straight street axis and its main entrances, with a total of 1252 stores.

During the workshop, they discussed the challenges and opportunities in terms of restoration and rehabilitation works in the old city markets, and presented the suggestions of the participants in the workshop. of the place and its people, which are necessarily related to reproduction.

Ms. Asmaa considered that the destruction of the antiquities of Aleppo and its cultural and civilizational monuments was a systematic attempt to destroy everything that expresses the history, civilization and social fabric of the Syrian man, because the main goal of the war was to target the Syrian identity.

Ms. Asmaa said: Talking about a city like Aleppo is never easy, but as you know, Aleppo is in our eyes as it is in reality. Calm down, shake off fatigue, rise, live on production, and breathe poetry, art and culture.

Ms. Asmaa added: We cannot talk about Aleppo without going through the difficult, harsh years, the suffering, the steadfastness you went through, and the strong stand against war, siege, starvation, thirst, daily shelling and other tools of killing and destruction with which they targeted its people and residents twice, once by direct targeting of its children. Once by targeting the spirit of the city, they destroyed its cultural, historical and civilizational monuments and monuments located everywhere in it in a way that was never random or without purpose, but rather it was a systematic attempt to destroy everything related to Syrian human history, civilization and social fabric, for this reason when Aleppo was liberated, the goal was not only to restore restoration The stone is because a stone without people is like history without a soul, and the city itself and its pulse is man.

Ms. Asmaa explained that the main goal, of course, is to be able to embody the concept of artistic restoration with its historical and cultural dimensions, but with its basic dimension and the most important being the human being. You have been working on it for three years. It inevitably stems from the importance of the Old City as the oldest city in the world registered in the world heritage, but it also stems from the specificity of the spiritual and material relationship between the people of Aleppo and the Old City, which represents the spirit of Aleppo as a whole, its living history, its economic and cultural lifeline.

Ms. Asmaa said: This project started with a goal and ambition and started from Al-Saqatiyah market and continued to Khan Al-Harir and Pistachio Square and close to Al-Habil Market and Al-Ahmadiya Market. The stages you went through through which the deep concept of restoration crystallized, not only rehabilitating the destroyed building, but also rehabilitating the basic services necessary to operate The place, restoring life is not without the re-production, spirit and economic innovation that Aleppo enjoys from its large factories and industries to its small workshops that were and still are the carriers of the Syrian economy.

She added: We will not stop until the markets and workshops return, and life returns to Aleppo as it was and better, in order to encourage people with artisanal professions and owners of small projects who have a desire, but the material shortage or lack of liquidity does not allow them to restart production, until there is the establishment of a project or A fund to encourage them by providing grants and loans with facilities that take into account the general situation, in cooperation with financing banks and in coordination with you, because you are basically the bearers of this project.

Ms. Asmaa pointed out that the successes and positive results that we saw today would not have occurred without the concerted efforts of different sides, the state institutions with their various agencies and of course the people of Aleppo, its intellectuals, architects, craftsmen, owners of small interests, university professors and market owners, all the people who participated in the successes we see today in addition to Civil institutions and NGOs, and here we certainly do not forget the late Mr. Tamim Qasmo, the historical and urban cultural encyclopedia, who had a passion for his city and its people, and who did not know the word impossible.

Mrs. Asma addressed the people of Aleppo by saying: You have embodied the most important forms of patriotism, which is, first, your adherence to your city despite the danger and harsh living conditions, and secondly, that you have begun to work for your city and country under extremely difficult conditions, to say the least. Therefore, the success of Aleppo is evidence of the country's strength, the victory of society and the will over destruction and devastation. The revival of this city concerns all of us as Syrians, and it means every zeal and lover of Aleppo and the country.

At the end of her visit, Mrs. Asmaa was briefed on the ongoing work to rehabilitate and restore the second section of the Seif Al-Dawla School.
