Today, on the stage of the Palace of Culture in As-Suwayda, theatrical performances (The Train) were launched for children as part of the Childhood Joy event organized by the Directorate of Theaters and Music at the Ministry of Culture and the National Theater in As-Suwayda.
The play is written by Fariha Hassan, prepared and directed by the director of the National Theater, Rifaat Al-Hadi, and its course revolves around a group of cartoon characters from children's tales such as Sinbad, Cinderella, the Match Seller, Aladdin and the Lamp, who escaped, as Al-Hadi explained to SANA reporter, from their stories and gathered at the train station.
He added that these personalities gather at the train station with the intention of traveling, because in the light of wars and crises, there is no longer anyone who finds time to read their stories, complete them, or watch them until the end. They all decide to stay because our cities are beautiful with their people.
Al-Hadi pointed out that the show was a mixture of cinematic and theatrical techniques by merging between the tale and the cartoon characters on the stage and the comic story through the movement of the actors themselves from the heart of the cinema screen to the stage with a moment of matching between the two scenes to follow their roles live on the stage where the application was applied This technique is for the first time on the Suwayda theater, which tightened the rhythm of the work and raised its level and created surprise and astonishment for the child and the parents.
Fawzi Al-Hadi, Layal Al-Hadi, Rama Zain Al-Din, Ayoub Al-Safadi, Haifa Al-Awar and the child Omar Safi participated in the performance of the show, which continues until Tuesday the 12th of this month.
