The Hotel Pacific has seen turbulent times.

But now the building has found a purpose and a design that pleases the community.

– The conversion of the former Hotel Pazific in Ottobrunn into a residential and commercial building is now taking shape: the two-storey extension will be expanded by two more floors.

The planning and environmental committee approved this on Tuesday evening.

Investor jumps out due to lack of profitability

Two three-room apartments (living space a good 60 square meters) and two four-room apartments (around 93 square meters) are to be built on the two new floors with a flat roof.

Four parking spaces for cars are to be redeemed by the municipality, which will cost the builder 48,000 euros.

At the beginning of last year, the planning and environmental committee gave an investor permission to turn the former hotel on Rosenheimer Landstraße into a residential and commercial building with a bakery and café.

However, the investor jumped off due to lack of profitability.

The new owner of the hotel wanted to use the building as accommodation for refugees.

Residents feared that their property would lose value.

"Our properties will no longer be worth anything," it was even said at the citizens' meeting.

The current client is Saadet Pacific Holding, the planning and environmental committee voted unanimously for the expansion of the building.
