It is a hospital that serves the Palestinian population and is funded by U.S. donations. Biden may announce during a visit to the site to increase US aid to the Palestinian Authority from $ 100 million to $ 200 million.
In Israel, Biden's visit to an institution in the east of the city identified with the Palestinians was received with some resentment - a precedent for an incumbent American president.
