His visit as US President is certainly the first, but it was preceded by a dozen others throughout his very long political career.
Former head of the Senate Foreign Affairs Committee, Joe Biden has accompanied the Israeli-American “special relationship” for fifty years.
To say that he knows his mysteries is an understatement.
His attachment to the Jewish state is constant.

I am a Zionist.
You don't have to be a Jew to be a Zionist
,” he declared in 2007. He also knows the pitfalls of the region.
They urge him to be cautious.
