Education Bureau Launches Exclusive Website "Let Love Shine 2022" to Display Local Special Education SEN Encyclopedia

According to the Education Bureau, the "Let Love Shine 2022" website has four sub-pages, including "Special Education Special Section", "Caring Achievement Section", "Special School Exhibition Hall Section" and "Transferring Hearts".

The "Special Education Zone" introduces the characteristics of eight types of special schools, including schools for children with mild intellectual disabilities, schools for children with mixed intellectual disabilities, schools for children with moderate intellectual disabilities, schools for children with severe intellectual disabilities, schools for children with visual impairment, schools for children with hearing impairment, and schools for children with physical disabilities Schools for disabled children, social education schools and hospital schools.

The public can get to know different types of special schools in Hong Kong through the short films produced by special schools themselves.

The "Caring Achievement Zone" showcases the achievements of about 100 special school students in sports, arts, learning, job development and other areas.

Students have participated in a number of local, national and international athletic events, including medal winners at the Special Olympics and Special Olympics Winter World Games.

In terms of art, the website lists students who have won awards in fields such as music, dance and painting, and some students have accompanied famous singers on the violin.

About 2,000 mind-transferring cards have been uploaded on the page of "Passing the Heart".

There are three electronic exhibition galleries in the "Special School Gallery" tab, which respectively introduce the art works, learning activities, school facilities and learning and teaching resources of the students of each special school.

On the "Side Message Area" page, there are about 2,000 message cards uploaded by the Secretary for Education, Mrs Tsai Ruo-lin, the Honorary President of the Special Schools Council, Ma Shi-heng, special school students, parents, teachers and stakeholders, expressing their support for special schools and students in words. The Education Bureau stated that the public can enjoy the music video of the theme song "Let Love Shine 2022" sung by students from 62 special schools in Hong Kong on the website.

The theme song was composed by senior music producer Zhao Zengxi, and lyrics were written by Principal Cheng Yingyu of Hong Kong Red Cross Alexandra County School and teacher Chen Jinghao of Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Qunfang Kaizhi School.

The bureau quoted them as saying that they hope the lyrics can express that the school is a place full of love. With the guidance of teachers, the care of parents and the support of the community, students can learn and achieve success; the lyrics also express the students' unremitting spirit, and Thanks to the teacher.
