Rabbi Gershon Edelstein, the leader of the ultra-Orthodox-Lithuanian public, was diagnosed this morning (Friday) as positive for Corona.
The rabbi, 99, was very strict about corona matters at the height of the plague.
For a considerable time he did not receive an audience and when he did, it was behind a plastic buffer, as a precaution against infection.
Rabbi Edshtein feels good and the agendas are going on as usual.
He will give the two-day lessons at home.
Opposition leader Benjamin Netanyahu wished him well: "I pray with the masses of Beit Yisrael for the healing of the great man of the generation, Rabbi Gershon Edelstein, who was diagnosed with Corona.
"Please do not cure him."
