Convicted drug trafficker Rafael Caro Quintero, one of the FBI's 10 most wanted people, was arrested Friday in Mexico, the Navy reported.
Quintero was accused in the United States of the murder of the agent of the US anti-narcotics agency Enrique Camarena Salazar.
He was offering a reward of up to $20 million for information leading to his capture.
Camarena, one of the founders of the Guadalajara Cartel, was imprisoned for 28 years in Mexico, but was released in 2013 due to a matter of judicial procedure.
