A paraglider from Bavaria got caught in the rope of a gondola lift in Tyrol.

A 37-year-old from the district of Traunstein flew into the rope of a gondola with his paraglider.
He had to be rescued.
Innsbruck - In the Tyrolean mountains, a German paraglider from the Bavarian district of Traunstein flew into the cable of a mountain railway.
The man almost crashed with his aircraft and had to be rescued by two mountain rescuers after landing on the rope.

As the Tyrolean police announced, the accident happened around Saturday noon on the Unterberghorn in Kössen.
The man was not injured.
However, the lift operation of the Unterberghornbahn had to be stopped for more than an hour.
The 37-year-old Bavarian said his parachute suddenly collapsed on one side several hundred meters up.

After a short spiral fall, the man triggered the emergency parachute.
But he could no longer steer and therefore got caught in the rope of the gondola.
On request, the police could not say whether the man would be held financially responsible for the lift failure.
