First Deputy Chairman of the International Affairs Committee of the Russian Federation Council, Vladimir Jabarov, stressed that US sanctions against Russia are pushing the European Union into an abyss from which it may not be able to get out.
Commenting on the European Union's announcement of the preparation of the seventh package of sanctions against Russia, Dzhabarov was quoted by the RIA Novosti news agency as saying, "It is interesting what they are trying to achieve. They have realized for themselves that these measures will not stop Russia from achieving the task of de-Nazification and demilitarization of Ukraine."
He added, "The United States is trying to repeat the process of robbery of Europeans that occurred in the late thirties of the last century," noting that the Europeans do not really understand that the United States is pushing them into the abyss from which they can never get out.
