New hangar for business jets in Oberpfaffenhofen: Project by DC Aviation Group

Aircraft management, charter services, maintenance of jets and handling services: The DC Aviation Group from Stuttgart has a wide range.

In the coming week, the company will open a hangar at Oberpfaffenhofen Airport.

Gilching – This company should be familiar to owners of business jets in particular: DC Aviation from Stuttgart has been taking care of business jets and everything that has to do with them for 20 years.

There are other locations in Dubai and Malta.

DC Aviation opens a hangar at the airport in Oberpfaffenhofen on Wednesday.

In 2007, DC Aviation emerged from Daimler-Chrysler-Aviation, a subsidiary of Daimler-Chrysler AG founded in 1998.

According to the company, more than 300 people work at the main location in Stuttgart and the branches in Malta and Dubai “and operate one of the largest and most modern business fleets in Europe”.

DC Aviation's portfolio starts with aircraft management, continues with aircraft charters and extends to the maintenance of business jets.

The fleet includes small Cessnas, long-haul jets like the Gulfstream G550 and also large-cabin aircraft like the Airbus A319CJ.

In 2007, DC Aviation was the first German operator to receive the IOSA certificate, an assessment system for an airline's operating and control systems.

According to the company, the business volume is "around 100 million euros in a normal year".

Managing directors are Michael K. Kuhn and Marc Ambrosius.

Hangar is 6000 square meters and heated

So now there is a new DC branch in Oberpfaffenhofen.

This caused a lot of noise in the trade press.

The new hangar is 6,000 square meters and is heated and offers a designer lounge, a conference area and a separate crew lounge.

At the newly founded location, DC will in future offer handling and maintenance with its own staff for customer aircraft, the company said.

"The opening of the new location at Oberpfaffenhofen Airport is another milestone in the strategic expansion of our presence," says Managing Director Kuhn.

In the future, customers will benefit “from the excellent connection to Munich as a business location and the Five Lakes region”.

At a distance of 25 kilometers from the city center, Oberpfaffenhofen Airport is more conveniently located than Munich Airport.

The hangar at the Stuttgart Airport branch is 5,000 square meters, and there is a 12,500 square meter maintenance facility at Al Maktoum International Airport in Dubai.

The new start at the special airport will be celebrated on Wednesday with around 100 invited guests from business and politics.

"The preparations are in the final stages, we'll be ready on time," announced a spokesman on Friday.
