German parliamentarian Sevim Dagdelin warned against continuing to supply the Kyiv regime with lethal weapons, because it increases the risks of an escalation of the Ukrainian crisis and turns it into a third world war.
"Supplying the Ukrainian army with weapons heavier than what was provided to it, in addition to training the Ukrainian army increases the risks of the crisis escalating and turning into a third world war," Dagdelin said in a statement to the Chinese newspaper, Global Times, noting that two-thirds of Germans are concerned about this matter.
Dagdelin explained that the West, led by the United States and Britain, pins its hopes on a proxy war and a war of attrition, saying that "the goal is to weaken Russia in the long term, and to achieve this, the West is ready to accept tens of thousands of deaths and endless suffering as well as the destruction of Ukraine."
The German parliamentarian stressed that there would be no peace in Europe without Russia, noting that the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) is currently not a defensive alliance, but rather the largest fighting machine in the world.
