Sauerlach – Drivers of e-cars can now recharge their batteries in Sauerlach within half an hour.

Citywatt's investors are certain that a large market is emerging.

Citywatt GmbH, an e-mobility subsidiary of the Praml Group in Ruderting near Passau, now offers e-drivers on Robert-Bosch-Strasse in Sauerlach energy to continue their journey at five columns with ten quick charging points.

When the e-charging station was recently opened, representatives from politics also got an idea on site: Mayor Barbara Bogner had Harald and Martin Praml, owners of the Praml Group, and Matthias Erl, transaction manager of LHI, explain the project to her to explain.

"It's a great expansion of our range of funds in the field of renewable energies," says Matthias Erl. "It also offers our investors a fundamental alternative to wind and solar parks and hydroelectric power plants."

Charging is possible 24/7

The fast charging stations have an output of up to 300 kilowatts and are therefore among the most powerful offers currently available on the market.

Depending on the technical requirements of the specific car, a charging volume that corresponds to a driving distance of around 400 kilometers can be achieved in 20 minutes.

"Charging is possible 24/7 including weekends and public holidays," explains Manuel Dehmel, Head of E-Mobility at Citywatt.

"Since 2019 we have been working, among other things, on equipping the Dehner stores with high-power chargers and are now gradually implementing this with the aim of offering customers a nationwide charging infrastructure with 2,500 fast charging points in Germany as quickly as possible by 2025."

Away from fossil fuels like oil and gas

All are equipped with WiFi, LED lighting and credit card terminals, and at least one fast charging station is always barrier-free.

After construction and opening, Citywatt, as the charging point operator, will take over the operation of the fast charging hubs from A to Z, including maintenance, billing for investors and charging customers.

"Since the number of registered e-vehicles will increase enormously in the coming years, we rely on large fast charging parks with ten charging points.

60 HPC charging points have already been implemented.

Our common goal must be to get away from the fossil fuels of oil and gas and to promote e-mobility,” emphasizes Harald Praml, managing partner of the group of companies.
