The Mersa Foundation for Charitable and Developmental Works in As-Suwayda distributed clothes and school supplies to 914 children in several villages in the countryside of the governorate.
Deputy Chairman of the Foundation's Board of Trustees, Amer Hassoun, told SANA reporter that during the past few days, school supplies and clothes were distributed to 13 schools in 12 villages in the governorate’s countryside, from the preparatory stage to the sixth grade, and it continues to include 1,000 children with the aim of easing the financial burdens on their families.
Hassoun indicated that this initiative is in addition to the "Alf Ba" initiative launched by the Foundation in late May, which targeted about 3,500 children enrolled in the first grade for the next academic year in 39 schools for basic education in the city of As-Suwayda to provide them with school bags and stationery, pointing out that this initiative is continuing. Until the start of the next school year.
Hassoun pointed out that during the Eid al-Adha holiday, the Foundation distributed meals to the people of a number of villages and provided financial support to residents of the elderly home in As-Suwayda, in addition to implementing the "Joy Train" initiative in cooperation with the Tomorrow's Children Association in the Al-Wafa Garden Park and with the participation of 200 children to bring joy and joy to their hearts. .
It is noteworthy that the Mersat Foundation, which was established in 2021, has implemented many charitable, developmental and educational initiatives in As-Suwayda Governorate.
