39 artists came from different governorates to display some of their artistic creations in a plastic exhibition, as a tribute to the spirit of the late artist Ahmed Rahal and his creative message and cultural gift over thirty years.

The exhibition, which was hosted by the archaeological hall of the Church of the Holy Spirit of the Syriac Catholic Diocese in Homs, was organized by the Ornina Forum for Culture under the title A tribute to the spirit of the late artist Ahmed Rahal, a member of the Ornina Forum. Towards a merging of Impressionism, Classicism, Abstraction, Realism and Romanticism.

The artist, Muhammad Salman, was inspired by the subject of his paintings from the expressive and abstract school under the title of the Syrian icon, where he mixed between calligraphy and painting in oil colors, and the woman and her position emerged in the works of the sculptor Muhammad Salloum from Tartous through two wooden sculptures that highlighted the high status of the mother, daughter and beloved woman in life.

The artist, Razan Issa, from Safita, presented to participate in the exhibition through an abstract painting and an artistic sculpture titled “The Case of Love” to express a special romantic situation.

The artist Nidal Ibrahim painted a portrait of the late artist in appreciation of his creative and artistic career. He also participated in the painting of the mosque as part of his documentary project for the ancient monuments of Homs.

The silent nature paintings by artist Shiraz Darwish from Lattakia were distinguished by a bright color combination that lit the walls of the hall, while artist Maysoon Khaddour moved away from the classics with her three paintings to highlight the beauty of nature in two, and the third painting is unique with a nice romance.

The artist Hossam Al-Daher shed light on the classic with an ancient oriental style and strong and harsh colors through 3 paintings, and the artist Iman Al-Hassan from Damascus participated in two paintings using different modern techniques that reflected what childhood suffered after the war and the burdens of reality and the conditions that caused the aging of children on the one hand and polished them to face these circumstances and overcome them towards a new bright future On the other hand.

Artist and architect Maram Malas ensured in her five paintings nature with its beauty and geometric formations, while symbolism emerged through the painting of life, which included the deer symbolically for ancient myths and the renewal of life, hope and peace.

The director and founder of the Ornina Forum for Culture and Arts indicated in a statement to SANA reporter that the exhibition is the third of this year and bears its title, a salute to the spirit of the artist Ahmed Rahal, who supervised the exhibitions of the forum and in honor of his distinguished artistic gift, explaining that the exhibition provides an opportunity for artists from several governorates to participate and introduce their works and strengthen the relationship between art. And society through dialogue between artists and visitors.
