Dvir Shenrav was hit by an explosive device in the Ein Bovin spring • He now serves in a secret position in the fight against terrorism •

Dvir Shenrav, who was seriously injured in a terrorist attack near the town of Dolev in Binyamin, during which his sister, the late Rene Shenrev, was murdered, stood on the parade ground yesterday on the occasion of completing the officers' course and received the MM pin.

"Another month we will mark the third anniversary of the attack, but for some reason the further away the event - the more it accompanies me, empowers me and helps me make decisions," he says.

In about two and a half months he will complete his corps completion and become a full-time officer.

Three years ago, after bathing in the Ein Bovin spring, an explosive device planted by terrorists at the site exploded.

Rene was killed on the spot, Dvir was seriously injured, and their father, Rabbi Eitan Shenrav, was moderately injured.

"I saw his injuries and did not believe he would be in the army, I just wanted him to live," says Rabbi Shenrav.

After a long period of rehabilitation, Dvir realized that he would not be able to fulfill his dream of becoming a fighter and combat officer in the IDF, and began the struggle to reach a significant position, which must not be specified.

Prevents suffering from people

"Since the attack there is nothing more important to me than preventing people from suffering. I fought to carry out important security activities, and I'm glad I can do it. If not in my body - then in my head. There's nothing more amazing than knowing you managed to prevent something and hearing about it the next day on the news "I know I am depriving other families of the suffering we have experienced."

Dvir stood in the parade ground in front of his family.

One girl, who will remain 16 years old forever, stood out in her absence.

"She was murdered two weeks before her birthday. I feel like she wanted to experience a lot of things she didn't get, and I give her her place in my life. She was very much waiting for me to enlist and talked a lot about the military, and I could imagine her in the audience at the end of the course. Telling about her, telling about her feelings, I express her. "

His father, for his part, says he is thrilled at the sight of the road he has traveled in our son within three years, from a state of near-death to rehabilitation.

"We are really happy and excited, and see it as a personal, family and national victory. Since the attack he wanted to enlist, and when he realized he could not be combative - instead of giving up and crying he decided to do his best where God wants him."

"This is a tremendous heroism, especially for a young man whose world has been destroyed. It gave a message to every soldier in the IDF, to anyone who asks himself why he enlisted and why he needs it.

There are still values, state and meaning to the military.

Dvir wants to reach a very influential place in the army, and we stand by, look and admire. "
