Among the graduates of the Marie-Pettenbeck-School, the following stood out with their achievements (front from left): Felix Wiggerich, Hannah Falzetta, Alina Neubert, Amelie Schultz, Alina Hübl and Jakob Schmidmüller.

Michael Plantic is missing from the picture.

The Marie Pettenbeck School in Wartenberg celebrated its graduates with a dignified graduation ceremony.

Wartenberg

– Traditionally, the graduation ceremony of the Marie-Pettenbeck School in Wartenberg took place at the innkeeper in Oberbierbach (Fraunberg municipality).

Just as traditional is the wording of headmaster Michael Braun in his welcome that it is a "special year".

This year is special because of the various crises that have directly affected everyday school life: Corona, teacher shortages, war in Ukraine.

"Personal responsibility was required," said the headmaster, who was well aware that there wasn't always a teacher available for every class.

Of course, the headmaster did not miss the fact that the parents' houses were also particularly challenged by the distance learning.

In addition, there are tangible disadvantages such as the fact that career orientation is kept on the back burner, which is otherwise very important, especially in secondary schools.

And yet the students did it.

That was also the topic of Mayor Christian Pröbst in his greeting, who made it clear, among other things: "School is not an amusement park." The father of two children knew: "Sometimes there are tears." Of course, these are the moments when the parents are particularly in demand.

Parents' council chair Jessica Garay became downright philosophical when she remarked that the greatest happiness is actually "that these kids are alive."

The new chairman of the development association, Markus Straßberger, called on the young people: "Do something stupid!" That's just part of it.

Otherwise he brought the urgent appeal to get involved.

"We need every single one of you.

You are the top performers of the future.”

And work has actually been done.

Seven students stood out with their degrees.

You have been awarded.

Headmaster Braun praised the performance in the district.

Annelie Schultz has the best quality average among the ninth graders.

The woman from Wartenberg achieved a 1.2 and is staying at the school with the “9+2 model”.

Alina Hübl from Erding is the second best with 1.3 and is now becoming a medical assistant.

Jakob Schmidmüller from Wartenberg goes to BMW and becomes a production mechanic.

He graduated with a 1.6.

Michael Plantic is one of the best with 1.8.

Among the students who completed the tenth grade, Felix Wiggerich took the title, so to speak, with a score of 1.22.

The Wartenberger will go to the FOS in Erding.

Hannah Falzetta from Wartenberg (1.56) also changes to FOS.

Alina Neubert from Langenpreising (1.56) becomes a pediatric nurse.
