Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein confirmed that the Turkish regime forces have committed 22,700 violations of Iraq's sovereignty since 2018 until now.

Hussein said during an emergency session of the Iraqi Council of Representatives that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs submitted 296 memorandums of protest against Turkish interference in Iraq, and it was recently included with the complaint submitted to the UN Security Council, denying the Turkish regime's allegations that it authorized the incursion into Iraqi territory.

In turn, Defense Minister Jumaa Inad reviewed the Turkish transgressions and the circumstances of the bombing of a resort near the city of Zakho by the forces of the Turkish regime, calling for strengthening Iraqi military capabilities in a way that rises to the level of the current challenges.

For his part, Khaled Al-Obeidi, head of the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee, stressed the importance of confronting the Turkish violations and the military presence inside Iraq, as it is an occupation of part of the country, stressing the need to take a firm and serious stance to confront this occupation and expel it and give priority to the interest of Iraq and its people over all political interests and goals.

In their turn, the Iraqi deputies demanded, in their interventions, the unification of the Iraqi political and official positions to confront the illegal Turkish violations, calling on the government to take deterrent measures against the continuing violations of Iraq's sovereignty and to prevent the use of its lands as an arena for settling accounts and moving towards openness to regional and international countries.

The deputies also demanded the expulsion of the Turkish ambassador from Baghdad, the closure of the land ports and a review of commercial dealings with Turkey, in addition to the necessity of presenting an official Turkish apology to Iraq and the withdrawal of the occupying Turkish forces from inside the Iraqi territories.

Earlier today, Iraq called on the UN Security Council to hold an emergency session on the Turkish regime's attack, which occurred several days ago in the northern province of Dohuk, which resulted in civilian deaths and injuries.
