There are many powers that believe they are capable of repressing the kiss of some girls and of threatening journalists with a loud cry

How do a nun from Naples and a regional deputy from JuntsxCat look alike?

In that both are willing to exercise violence so that television only shows their way of understanding the world and censors all the others.

A vice president of Junts withdraws from parliamentary control of TV-3 in full controversy over the "coercion" of a journalist

This week the irruption of a nun in a photo session to promote the series

Mare fuori

, the umpteenth production about gangsters and suburban Naples, went viral.

The scene showed a kiss between two actresses, Kyshan Wilson and Serena de Ferrari, and the protagonists were in it when an elderly nun appeared screaming, invoking satan and separating the women.

The picturesque and ridiculousness of the image does not annul its violence.

She has to be very sure that she has the power on her side to dare to do that.

That a citizen of a democratic country does not understand that she cannot attack two women who are kissing is a collective failure.

It is also the case that deputy Francesc de Dalmases grabs a TV3 journalist by the arm and locks her in a room to yell at her because she has not been servile enough in an interview with the president of Parliament, Laura Borràs.

Here violence is not sweetened by habit.

Here old Catholicism does not collide with free and secular society.

There is only one cacique arrogant with power who believes he has the right to scold whom he considers an employee, almost a slave.

Nothing will happen to the nun -although it would not have been bad for a

carabiniere

I would have reprimanded her for attempted assault—;

It will surely cost De Dalmases his political career.

Which is little consolation in the face of the appalling realization that there are plenty of powers left that think they're capable of repressing girls' kisses and shouting threats at journalists.
