Bayern are sweating again.

A new "heat surge" hits the Free State, one factor makes the heat even more stressful.

The DWD is already warning.

Munich – After there was a good bang on Friday - and partly on Saturday as well - the storms are over again.

The next heat wave is approaching and has it all.

On Monday (July 25) Bayern have to adjust to high temperatures of up to 37 degrees again.

The German Weather Service (DWD) has already issued an official heat warning.

Weather in Bavaria: desert air brings heat - DWD issues a warning

The warning from the DWD applies on Monday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the entire south-east of Bavaria.

Above all, Lower Bavaria, Upper Bavaria and the Upper Palatinate are affected.

A “strong heat load” is expected, the meteorologists said.

Urban areas are particularly affected.

"On Monday, an additional load is to be expected due to reduced nocturnal cooling, especially in the densely built-up area of Munich," said the DWD.

"Heat surge" has it all: an expert explains why it's going to be even more stressful this time

According to meteorologist Jan Schenk from

The Weather Channel

, desert air will come to Bavaria on Monday, and temperatures will then be well above the 35-degree mark again.

However, that is only one of the two scenarios, as the expert admits in a video.

It could well be that there will be "only" values between 30 and 35 degrees and not over 35 degrees.

"Still hot, but not quite as super-hot."

A special factor intensified the heat wave this time.

The south-east of Bavaria is "actually also affected by muggy weather", explained the weather expert.

In Lower and Upper Bavaria it can therefore be "extremely stressful for the body" even at lower temperatures.

It is precisely in this region that the DWD's heat warning applies.

The fact that there are two different temperature scenarios is due to the fluctuating rain forecast.

From Tuesday the heat will be over and the rain will come.

If the thunderstorms start on Monday, it will cool down earlier.

In Bavaria, the west is particularly affected by the thunderstorms.

When exactly it will crack remains to be seen.
