The Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, issued an order appointing Lieutenant-General Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah as Prime Minister.
The Kuwait News Agency reported that the Emir of the country commissioned Sheikh Ahmed to nominate members of the new ministry and present their names to issue a decree appointing them.
The Emir of Kuwait issued an order last March appointing Sheikh Ahmed as First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior.
