An earthquake measuring 4 on the Richter scale struck this evening, Fars Province, southern Iran, without reports of injuries or damage.
Fars news agency quoted Iran's seismological center as saying that the tremor occurred at a depth of 8 km below the surface of the earth, with its epicenter 16 km away from the city of Ahl and 20 km from the city of Ashkenan.
An earthquake measuring 3.5 on the Richter scale hit southern Iran on the 10th of this month, without causing any injuries or material damage.
