The General Secretariat of Communication of the Presidency of Ecuador reported that Guillermo Lasso returns to the country this Saturday after undergoing a complementary preventive surgical procedure in Houston, Texas, which was successful.

On his Twitter account, Lasso reaffirmed that "the operation to remove the melanoma located on the lower right eyelid was successful."
