According to the government platform
Rappel Conso
,
several batches of poultry sausages and merguez from the
Le Gaulois
and
Auchan
brands are the subject of a large recall procedure on a French scale.
In question ?
A
“labeling anomaly”
: the use-by date is incorrect.
Set for August 30, 2025, the latter actually ends on August 30, 2022. Those in possession of these foods must return them to the point of sale.

For
Le Gaulois,
the brand's sausages and merguez were marketed between August 16 and 22 in most major stores such as Carrefour, Monoprix, and Auchan.
“
Poultry sausages with herbs
”, “
plain poultry sausages
” and “
poultry merguez
” are thus concerned.
For the latter, the recall procedure will end on September 6.
Three other references from
Auchan
, sold between August 16 and 19, are also targeted until September 19.
If these products are in no way contaminated, it is advisable not to eat any more.
“The consumption of a product past DLC can present a danger to health (gastrointestinal disorders, fever…)”,
specifies the
Rappel Conso site.
