An examination shows that it is a father and his son • Apparently the father ran into the water to save his son - and drowned himself during the rescue attempts • The two were taken to the Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv

A 41-year-old man drowned on the beach of Jerusalem.

MDA teams performed CPR on him and evacuated him to Ichilov Hospital in serious condition while he is sedated and ventilated.

In addition, a 10-year-old boy was taken to the hospital in a minor condition.

An examination shows that it is a father and son.

Apparently the boy was drowning and his father ran to the water to help him and drowned while trying to rescue him.

MDA paramedic, Tom Grishin, and senior medic, Chai Takatash, said: "The two drowners were on the beach when the man was in a vague state of consciousness and the child was fully conscious.

During the medical treatment, which included assistance with oxygen and medication, we were told that the child began to drown and the man entered the water in order to pull him out.

We put them in an intensive care vehicle and evacuated them to the hospital.

During the evacuation, the man's condition deteriorated and we resuscitated him."

Later this evening, two men, about 30 years old, drowned near Metzis Beach and were rescued to a marina near Gordon Beach in Tel Aviv.

MDA medics and paramedics gave them medical treatment on the spot. One of them, who was without a pulse, came back to life after CPR. Both are in intensive care at Ichilov Hospital, being sedated and ventilated."
