Satellite images revealed that the Russian army removed s-300 missile systems from the military research site in Musaif in western Syria • The site was attacked yesterday in an aerial bombardment attributed to Israel

Satellite images from the civilian intelligence company ISI revealed that Russia has evacuated at least two batteries of S-300 surface-to-air missiles that were stationed at the military research base near the town of Musaif in western Syria.

The photos show the launch positions and radar stations of the system after they were hastily evacuated without being replaced by other tools.

In the meantime, it is not known about their transfer to another location in the country and experts estimated that they were evacuated from the country in order to respond to the growing air threat that the Russian Air Force is facing in Ukraine.

The research center in Musaif is used by Syria's and Hezbollah's missile precision project and has been attacked several times in the past with aerial bombardments attributed to Israel.

On Thursday, the site was attacked from the air and according to documentation distributed on social networks, secondary explosions were seen indicating damage to ammunition and missiles.
