The exhibition of the plastic artist, Ibtisam Majid, included 30 paintings embodying women in all their states, including joy, sadness and contemplation, which was set up by the Aleppo Culture Directorate and the Fine Arts Center in cooperation with Al-Khanji Gallery of Fine Arts in Aleppo.
The paintings embodied the feelings of women during the war on Syria and their grief over the loss of their loved ones, in addition to paintings that dealt with the gifts of the mother who gives her soul to her children.
In a statement to SANA reporter, the artist, Ibtisam, indicated that she used several techniques in her paintings, such as sand, gold paper, cardboard and glue, taking topics from lived reality, in addition to talking about women, especially during the war, using colors that symbolize hope and affection.
The head of the Union of Fine Artists in Aleppo, Nouran Jabakji, pointed to the development of Ibtisam's style since its beginnings, indicating the importance of incorporating the technique of collage into the paintings, which gives an aesthetic dimension, especially that the colors of the paintings are dominated by optimism and radiance with the presence of Persian vegetal motifs and faces in an attempt to embody the realistic school.
From attending the 7-day exhibition, the plastic artist Khaldoun Al-Ahmad drew attention to the importance of choosing women as the subject of the paintings, as they symbolize life.
