“Sky” spent a good week shooting the ten-part “Autobahn” in the old printing house in the industrial park.

It is an in-house production with a prominent cast.

Wolfratshausen

– The former printing house of our newspaper on Pfaffenrieder Straße is often the location for television productions.

In particular, the two upper floors – the advertising department and editorial department are located on the ground floor – have gained a good reputation in the industry as commissariats.

Most recently, there was determined and interrogated in the ZDF two-parter "Mother's Day".

Now the private broadcaster "Sky" has also discovered the house.

The new action series with the working title "Autobahn" was shot there over the course of eight days, including various scenes in the fictitious police headquarters in Munich including prisoner interrogation and several sequences in a youth prison.

Sky is full of praise for the location: "The size of the room made it possible to set it up completely," says spokesman Steffen Thiel.

As is well known, the fact that, in contrast to Munich, it offers a lot of space speaks in favor of the former printing house.

It was also needed, the production company Action Concept was on site with many cars around the house.

It was a constant coming and going – and now and again you recognized faces from film and television, such as Grimme Prize winner Ken Duken, who likes to be referred to as the “German Brad Pitt”, a comparison that he doesn’t think works.

Two brothers share a dark secret

The broadcaster made public what it was about at the beginning of the shooting.

The focus of the ten-part action drama are two investigators (Ken Duken and Fabian Busch), who are also brothers.

Suddenly they find themselves at the center of an international conspiracy.

You have to work together for better or for worse.

However, a family conflict they never faced proves to be a major obstacle.

Overcoming it becomes a matter of survival.

"Autobahn" combines action thriller, family drama and love story in ten 45-minute episodes.

"The Sky Original experiences a clear location both through the dramatic mountain scenery of the Bavarian Alps and through the dynamic big city bustle of the metropolis of Munich," writes the broadcaster.

In addition to Ken Duken ("Berlin Falling") and Fabian Busch ("He's back"), other roles include Mona Pirzad ("Sweethearts"), Nikola Kastner ("Nightlife"), Angelina Häntsch ("Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo) and Liam Mockridge (“The Smarter One Moves Out”).

Directed by Tim Trachte and Ngo The Chau.

The broadcast was originally scheduled for late 2022.

"But that will probably be delayed a little," said Thiel.
