Local TV reporter Naya Pakistan, whom we reached by phone, is covering the floods in Jafarabad, a district of Balochistan, a poor province in southwestern Pakistan.
“In the region, more than 100,000 people have been affected by the floods (
in a few days
).
There are no more dwellings, no more living animals, people no longer have drinking water and food.
I even saw children feeding on grass and earth,” he laments.
