The administration of the city of Energodar, Zaporozhye region reported that the Ukrainian forces bombed the territory of the nuclear plant with two missiles that landed near its fuel storage site.
Russia Today website quoted the administration as saying in a statement posted on its Telegram channel today: “Ukrainian military units bombed the territory of the Zaporozhye atomic station and the border areas of the city, using heavy-caliber artillery, and as a result two explosions were recorded near the used fuel storage building.”
The administration considered that the Ukrainian bombing aimed at thwarting the visit of the International Atomic Energy Agency mission to the Zaporozhye plant.
A delegation from the International Atomic Energy Agency, headed by its Director General, Rafael Grossi, is scheduled to arrive at the Zaporozhye nuclear plant to see the reality of the situation there.
