A 13-year-old minor is in critical condition after being hit by a tree branch in Vilanova del Camí (Barcelona).
The accident has been caused by the storm of rain and wind, which has been crossing Catalonia since yesterday.
A 20-month-old baby died last morning after being hit by an ice ball in La Bisbal in the largest hailstorm recorded in Catalonia in the last 20 years.
The accident took place shortly before six in the afternoon, when the minor received the impact of the tree branch, as reported by Civil Protection.
After being treated by an endowment of the Medical Emergency System (SEM), the minor has been transferred in critical condition, with a head injury to the Sant Joan de Deu hospital in Esplugues de Llobregat.
Only between six and seven thirty in the afternoon, the Fire Department of the Generalitat have received 208 notices due to the storm.
By region, most have been concentrated in the northern and southern metropolitan regions, in the province of Barcelona.
In total, since 8:00 p.m. yesterday, the notices amount to 823.
