After earlier today (Wednesday) the teachers union reached an agreement with the Treasury regarding the elementary schools and kindergartens, a short time ago the high school students were also informed that the school year will start tomorrow as a series.
After the high-profile press conference, in which the Minister of Finance, the Minister of Education, and the Chairman of the Teachers' Union announced that they had come to an agreement on the renewed salary contract, the Chairman of the Upper Elementary Teachers Organization, Ran Erez, entered the office of the Commissioner of Salaries, Kobi Bar Natan.
The two discussed the opening of the school year tomorrow (Thursday) in high schools in a conversation that lasted several hours.

At noon, the chairman of the organization threatened to shut down high school classes tomorrow (Thursday). In recent days, Erez even went so far as to publish a clock that counted down the days until the strike and not until the start of the school year.

Despite this, in a joint announcement by the Ministry of Education and the teachers' organization, it was stated that they reached agreements regarding the reform of the matriculation exams in the non-religious subjects (heritage, society and spirit). In light of this, Erez announced that he would not take organizational measures on this issue and the labor dispute announced on this issue is cancelled.
