Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri reiterated the importance of developing Lebanon's relations with Syria.
Berri said in his speech in the city of Tire in southern Lebanon: "We affirm our support for Syria's leadership, army and people," calling for strengthening relations with Syria for the benefit of the two brotherly countries.
Berri denounced the attempts to turn Lebanon and its skies into a “staging ground for aggression against Syria,” stressing “Syria’s support in its confrontation with terrorism and attempts to seize its resources and lands.”
