Apparently there was a bad accident between Marburg and Stadtallendorf.

According to the first information, a freight train hit a car.

Kirchhain – Apparently there was a bad accident in central Hesse.

As reported by the police, on Wednesday evening (August 31) at around 8.30 p.m. near Kichhain (Marburg-Biedenkopf district), a car rolled onto the railway tracks and was hit by a freight train, as reported by hna.de.

According to initial findings, the freight train jumped off the tracks, the police said.

So far, nothing is known about possible injuries.

On the Kassel - Gießen route, the section between Stadtallendorf and Kirchhain is currently closed.

In the Deutsche Bahn connection search, the following information is currently appearing for train drivers: “Bus emergency services are being planned.

So far no information on the duration of the closure.” The route is an important connection in passenger and freight traffic between north and south Hesse.
