Bulgarian Energy Minister Rosen Hristov announced that his country has started negotiations with Russia's Gazprom to resume supplies to his country.
And the website of Russia Today channel quoted Khristov as saying: “We are in contact with Gazprom and we are trying to reach a positive result in the negotiations and to resume deliveries on favorable terms. We are not only talking about gas supplies, but also about payment terms within the framework of European sanctions,” noting that it is financially impossible. Determine all conditions under the contract with Gazprom during 2022.
Hristov added: The conditions for Bulgaria are the ability to receive the remaining quantities of gas in the first months of 2023 using the European payment system.
The Russian company Gazprom announced at the end of last April that it had stopped natural gas supplies to Bulgaria and Poland due to the two countries' failure to pay for these supplies in Russian rubles.
