The documents seized during the raid in Mar-a-Lago in early August are said to have included material about the French president.

That's what it says in the inventory list that the FBI published after the operation in Donald Trump's private home.

"Info re: President of France," it says.

The content is locked.

Now, however, a media report suggests that Donald Trump has repeatedly boasted about his alleged knowledge of Emmanuel Macron's love life in the past.

Rolling Stone magazine reports that Trump made repeated references to close associates during and after his tenure in the White House.

The report does not contain any details, it is about allegedly "indecent" behavior.

Trump is said to have mentioned that his knowledge is based on "intelligence information".

It is still unclear whether the documents that were secured in Mar-a-Lago on Macron are classified at all or are based on information from the secret services.

In addition, Trump is considered an avid disseminator of gossip, who also never takes the truth too seriously.

"It's often difficult to say whether he's talking nonsense or not," says Rolling Stone, quoting one of his sources close to the ex-president.

According to numerous international media reports, the entry on the inventory list in the French presidential palace caused quite a stir.

The French embassy in the United States declined to comment, according to the Guardian.

FBI investigators searched the Florida property on August 8 and secured boxes of documents.

Most recently, the US Department of Justice partially made public the basis on which the ex-president's living quarters were searched.

This revealed that Trump had previously returned numerous confidential, classified, and top-secret documents to the National Archives.

Since Trump had kept the documents in his private estate until then, he could have broken the law.

This is now being investigated, while Trump is defending himself legally.

Biden sharply attacks Republicans

The search caused a stir.

The fact that investigators search the house of a former president is considered a unique event in US history.

The Republican was president from 2017 to 2021. Trump has also been fueling speculation for weeks that he could soon announce a bid for the next presidential election in November 2024.

The investigations are therefore doubly politically sensitive.

Trump himself, but also his party, have been working on the security authorities since then.

There is repeated talk of an alleged conspiracy, with the FBI in particular becoming the focus of some violent Trump supporters.

President Joe Biden had recently sharply criticized Republican rhetoric.
