A 12-year-old girl died in the afternoon in Avezzano (L'Aquila) while she was playing on a swing;
the beam to which she was attached the structure would have given way.
It happened in an oratory.
The attempts at resuscitation were useless.
The Carabinieri are on the spot.
According to initial information, it seems that the swing was attached to a beam resting on two trees in the park of the oratory in a hamlet of Avezzano.
The beam would shift and hit the child as it fell.
The 118 health workers with the air ambulance transported the twelve-year-old to the Avezzano emergency room, but then, due to the severity of her injuries, they transferred her to the 'San Salvatore' hospital in L'Aquila.
Unfortunately, the attempts to save her were useless.
