A 16-year-old teenager who disappeared last week "under suspicious circumstances" in Thurston County (which encompasses Olympia, the state capital of Washington) has been located by local authorities, and immediately after arrested in connection with the murder. of a 51-year-old man.
The young man was last seen leaving his home on Thursday afternoon to attend a
football
practice that he never showed up to.
His truck was found in Olympia with traces of blood and his cell phone smashed, according to local television station KING5, an NBC News affiliate in Seattle.
That same night, however, he was found safe and returned to his family, according to the Thurston County Sheriff's Office.

On the morning of his disappearance, deputies from the Pierce County Sheriff's Office responded to a home in Orting, 33 miles from Olympia, after receiving a notice that a 51-year-old man "had not shown up for work in the last four days.

The agents found the body of the man in the house with a gunshot wound;
no firearms were found there.
On Friday night, two 16-year-old suspects were arrested in connection with the crime;
one of them was the missing young man.
They were booked into the Remann Hall Juvenile Detention Center for second-degree murder, robbery, and unlawful possession of a firearm,” according to the Pierce County Sheriff's Department.

The police did not detail what evidence linking the teenagers to the murder;
Their identities were not revealed as they were minors.
