Damascus-SANA

With the first breezes of September, oriental music mixed with Spanish heritage and flamenco music in an evening entitled Andalusia, presented by musician Suleiman Shalaby with his band, amid a heavy presence that filled the corridors of Al-Azm Palace in Damascus.

The evening program varied, which lasted for more than an hour and a half, to be started by Shalaby by presenting his own guitar playing, titled “Salt”, followed by a performance based on the famous Spanish heritage bullrias.

Singer Manu Shalabi Khattar, Anana Farah, sang for Ilham Al-Madfai in the form of Flamenco, Halal Asmar, and Above Elna Khalil, and the song “Lokan Qalbi Ma’i.” She also performed a break in the water of thirst in a manner that delighted and entertained the audience.

Umm Kulthum's songs attended the evening, to be presented by Shalabi in the rhythm of the waltz, considering that this type of songs is difficult to present on the guitar in the form of flamenco, so he decided to present it in the form of the waltz, which employs the guitar in an optimal way to perform the songs of Kawkab Al-Sharq in a distinct form.

And the flamenco dancer Lujain Malak excelled in presenting more than one dance on the songs of One Thousand and One Nights from the planet of the East and the famous Malagina dance to take the audience's imagination on a journey to the civilization and heritage of Andalusia.

The band that formed an integrated harmony consisted of musicians Ammar Ali on the flute, Dima Khair Bey on the violin, Muhammad Omran on the drums, and Mahmoud Kanafani on the percussion.
