Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias announced that his country has sufficient strength to defend its territorial integrity from the threats of the Turkish regime.
TASS news agency quoted Dendias as saying, in response to the Turkish regime's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's threat to his country, that it is clear that the Turkish side has made many disgraceful and unacceptable statements in recent days, explaining that the same reference to the occupation of the Greek islands is an indication of the level of Turkish declarations.
"I must say that Greece has always called and acted on the basis of international law and international maritime law, however, I advise anyone who dreams of attacks and conquests to think three or four times because we have enough strength to defend our homeland, national independence and territorial integrity and we are fully convinced of our alliances and the positions of our partners," Dendias added.
Dendias noted that the EU has already demonstrated in the case of Ukraine that threats and invasions that go beyond international law create unprecedented unity.
On August 24, the Greek Security Council announced that it had decided to take additional measures to confront illegal immigration across the border with Turkey.
