Today, Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune reshuffled several ministries.
According to a statement by the Algerian presidency, the ministerial change included 6 ministerial portfolios, namely the interior, local authorities, health, transport, pharmaceutical industry, higher education and scientific research.
The amendment included the appointment of Ibrahim Murad as Minister of the Interior, succeeding Kamal Beljoud, who was appointed Minister of Transport, while Abdelhak Sayhi was appointed Minister of Health, succeeding Abdel Rahman bin Bouzid.
Lakhdar Rakhroukh was also appointed as Minister of Public Works, Irrigation and Base Establishments, to succeed Kamal Nasseri, while Ali Aoun was appointed as Minister of Pharmaceutical Industries to succeed Abdel Rahman Jamal Lutfi bin Bahamed.
Abdullah Manji, who was the Minister of Transport, was also appointed Secretary-General of the Presidency of the Republic.
The government reshuffle also included the termination of the duties of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Abdel Baqi bin Zayan, and the appointment of Karmi Badari as his successor, while the former delegated minister in charge of the knowledge economy and emerging institutions, Yassin Al-Mahdi Walid, was appointed as Minister of the Knowledge Economy, Emerging Enterprises and Micro Enterprises.
