The spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, considered that the transfer of the management of the Zaporozhye nuclear plant to Kyiv, which does not control anything at all, will lead to a global nuclear catastrophe.
“We see how this nuclear site is used by the Kyiv regime simply as an element of nuclear blackmail and the creation of threats,” Zakharova was quoted as saying by the RIA Novosti news agency today, adding: “The transfer of the plant to under the control of the Kyiv regime, which controls absolutely nothing, means everything. Simply that Europe and the whole world are threatened with the destruction of a nuclear facility and, consequently, a nuclear catastrophe.”
Zakharova expressed Moscow's hope for an objective assessment of the situation at the Zaporozhye nuclear plant after the visit of the IAEA mission.
Zakharova expressed regret that the report of the International Atomic Energy Agency on the inspection of the Zaporozhye nuclear plant does not indicate those guilty of criminal acts, ie bombing the plant.
She added: "We know that the Kyiv regime is behind the systematic bombing of the station's territory, and Western countries also know that they encourage these dangerous provocations of the Zelensky regime. They prefer to remain silent and protect their project in every possible way."
On the other hand, Zakharova announced that Moscow will respond to the Baltic states by restricting the entry of Russians, and that Russia, despite this, will not prevent Europeans from visiting it to see Russia and its civilization with their own eyes.
"Once again I would like to say that we will certainly respond, but in a manner that does not harm the interests of Russia and its citizens," Zakharova said.
Zakharova stressed that Russia's response will be considered and that Moscow will not close its doors to citizens of European Union countries.
