White roses in one hand, her mother's arm in the other, Laura walks slowly down the long driveway that winds its way to the entrance to Balmoral Castle, the Scottish castle where Queen Elizabeth II died on Thursday evening .
Solemnly, with tears in their eyes, the two women add their flowers to the hundred or so others who are already resting in front of the black and gold gate of this residence that "Her Majesty" loved more than anything.
