The death of Elizabeth II has caused what must be called a worldwide mourning.
That it is amplified by a media system vampirizing the slightest event to convert it into the codes of spectacle emotion does not alter the sincerity of the melancholy that is revealed.
The Queen of England, simply because of her longevity, had become a symbol that we need to explore.
Elizabeth II lived her function as a priesthood, unlike other members of the royal family, intoxicated by the promises of a life they wanted to live under the sign of glitter and worldly effervescence.
She had respect for forms and institutions, and preached less than she gave an example.
