Theresa May, Prime Minister UK (2016-2019)

»I remember having a picnic at Balmoral Castle.

Baskets of food were brought out and we all lent a hand to place the food on the tables.

I took some cheese, put it on a plate and brought it to the table.

The cheese fell to the floor.

I had a split second to make a decision.

I picked up the cheese, put it back on the plate and brought it to the table.

Turning back, I noticed that my every move had been carefully watched by Her Majesty the Queen.

I looked at her.

she looked at me

And she just smiled.

And the cheese stayed on the table.”

The deputies spoke in turn for several hours about the death of the monarch - some contributed memories of personal encounters.

However, nobody came close to Theresa May's.
