The report of the incident was received yesterday at 23:25 at MDA's call center. Medics and paramedics were called to the local clinic - where the young man was brought suffering from gunshot wounds. They then evacuated him to the hospital in an intensive care vehicle as his condition was serious and unstable.

An IDF spokesperson stated that "During the night, IDF forces identified suspects who approached the perimeter fence near the village of Bekah El Sharqiya in the area of ​​the Menasha Regional Division. At the same time, the forces identified a suspicious vehicle that approached the fence from the opposite side. Following the suspicious behavior, a smuggling procedure was announced, and IDF soldiers who were rushed to the point carried out a suspicious arrest procedure.
